Job summary

Essent, located in 's-Hertogenbosch, is looking for an expert to enhance its observability platform. You will design effective observability pipelines, nurture engineering teams, and maintain old infrastructure, all while using frameworks like OpenTofu/Terraform and programming in Python.

This role offers a gross monthly salary between €5,807 and €8,253 along with various benefits including bonuses, 30 days of holidays, and a personal development budget.

Qualifications

• Excellent command of English, both oral and written.
• Proven experience in system design for complex, distributed cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency with OpenTofu/Terraform for building modular solutions.
• Solid experience in developing data processors in Python.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS data pipelines.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry concepts.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designing & implementing observability pipelines for data ingestion.
• Developing modular, reusable IaC solutions.
• Building and maintaining data processors in Python.
• Engineering secure data flows between AWS accounts.
• Creating standardized assets for integration with observability platform.
• Maintaining and improving observability infrastructure.
• Driving best practices for monitoring and logging.
• Working with engineering teams to enhance observability.
