Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our Utrecht-based team. You will build backend services in C#/.NET Core and extend Azure cloud-based solutions with robust pipelines and APIs.

You’ll collaborate with squads, own deployment automation, and help drive SDLC excellence while balancing security and business needs. The role requires clear communication and ownership across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior-level .NET development experience with backend C#/.NET Core.
• Strong Azure cloud services knowledge across storage, functions, apps and SQL.
• Experience designing and developing APIs.
• Experience with Azure DevOps setup, pipelines and Graph API.
• Understanding CI/CD, DevOps practices and SDLC.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools and source control.
• Willingness to work in the Netherlands and communicate with stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field.

Job description

• Develop and maintain backend solutions in C# and .NET Core supporting DevOps and work-item management
• Customise and extend Azure DevOps services through platform administration, pipelines, APIs and the Microsoft Graph REST API
• Automate development and deployment processes for efficient onboarding, feature development and software releases
• Build reliable and scalable services using Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, Azure Storage Accounts and Azure SQL
• Improve the development experience for engineers across more than 400 squads
• Collaborate with squad members, product owner, scrum master and solution architect
• Balance technical quality, security and business priorities
• Participate in video-call interviews, screening and an assignment as part of the application process

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in .NET development, including backend programming with C# and .NET Core
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, Azure App Service and Azure SQL
• Experience in API design and development
• Experience with Azure DevOps setup and administration, Azure DevOps Pipelines and the Microsoft Graph REST API
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery, DevOps methods and the software development lifecycle
• Experience using AI-enabled development tools
• Knowledge of Git, source control and branching strategies
• Experience with MSSQL
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Bicep, and familiarity with Terraform
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell or Python
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• A critical and analytical approach to identifying the root cause of problems
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive and practical approach, with ownership of problems and outcomes
• Legal right to work in the Netherlands
• Must be based in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the European Union
• Nice-to-haves include Azure DevOps APIs and services, Azure DevOps extensions, reporting and analytics integrations, Power BI, Azure certifications, onboarding or migration support, large-scale enterprise rollouts, and leadership skills
