Job summary

Next Ventures seeks a Senior Murex Consultant in Amsterdam for a freelance engagement. The role focuses on Murex workflows (MxML) and back-office interfaces, driving design, development, and integration within a major financial institution.

4 days per week in the Amsterdam office is mandatory; one day remote. Requires 8+ years of Murex experience, strong UNIX/Linux, SQL, and English communication, with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on Murex experience.
• Deep expertise in Murex Workflows (MxML) and related interfaces.
• Solid UNIX/Linux, scripting and SQL skills.
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets instruments and back-office lifecycles.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize Murex MxML workflows to automate post-trade lifecycles.
• Develop and maintain complex inbound/outbound Back Office interfaces to clearing houses, SWIFT and accounting systems.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs within Murex.
• Lead end-to-end testing, validation and debugging of workflows and message flows.
• Provide high-tier support during deployment and resolve production issues.
