Job summary

Projob B.V. in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to develop merchandise and inventory plans across full-price retail, concessions, and online channels. You will collaborate with Buying, Finance and commercial teams to balance customer demand with stock, purchasing budgets and margins.

Your main responsibilities include seasonal planning, inventory allocation, demand forecasting, open-to-buy oversight, and promotional planning to optimise performance across channels.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in merchandise planning within fashion, retail or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of merchandise financial planning, demand forecasting, inventory management and buying budgets.
• Experience with omnichannel inventory planning, promotions and markdown decisions.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Seasonal planning: Build sales forecasts, buying budgets and margin plans.
• Inventory and allocation: Determine purchase quantities at SKU level and optimise initial stock allocation.
• Demand forecasting: Prepare monthly forecasts for core products using trends and stock availability.
• Financial performance: Lead monthly open-to-buy reviews and adjust plans to manage opportunities and risks.
• Promotions and improvements: Recommend discounts and markdowns, improve processes and support colleagues.
