Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to hire an MEP Design Engineer based in the Netherlands for a major AI data center project. You will design and review electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems supporting critical infrastructure and coordinate with IT, suppliers, and partners to ensure integrated, compliant designs.

The role covers electrical distribution, cooling and ventilation, fire protection, BMS/DCIM integration, and Basis of Design development.

Qualifications

5+ years in MEP design for critical infrastructure or heavy-industry facilities.
Demonstrated experience designing cooling and ventilation systems; strong HVAC experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
Ability to review multidisciplinary technical documentation and identify engineering risks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate requirements into design solutions.
English proficiency for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and review electrical distribution systems (medium- and low-voltage, UPS, gensets, BESS).
Design and review cooling and ventilation systems (chillers, dry coolers, water towers, liquid cooling).
Coordinate facility architecture with MEP infrastructure for seamless integration.
Develop gas fire suppression, ventilation, and OT/IT integration (BMS/DCIM).
Review supplier/contractor design docs; identify risks and gaps.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, reliability, and energy-efficiency standards.
Prepare Basis of Design and technical specs; participate in tender evaluations.
Coordinate with IT Infrastructure to align power/cooling with deployment needs.
