Job summary

Jobster in Delft is seeking an experienced mechanical designer to join an ambitious R&D team. You will design spacecraft mechanical structures, maintain CAD models and drawings, and lead design reviews with cross-disciplinary teams in a hands-on role focused on productization and flight hardware.

You bring at least seven years of experience, strong engineering fundamentals, and fluency in English. The role is based in Delft with occasional collaboration with partners or suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, BSc or MSc) with proven engineering fundamentals.
• At least seven years of experience in mechanical design, preferably for complex or critical systems.
• Very proficient with CAD software and experience documenting designs for production and testing.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical structures for spacecraft with attention to mass, stiffness and interfaces.
• Create and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings and assembly docs for production and testing.
• Organize and lead design reviews, coordinate with system, thermal and electronics teams and suppliers.
• Support productization and prototype activities up to verification and flight hardware integration.
