Job summary

Coda is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel in Amsterdam to support its fast-growing fintech, payments, ecommerce and digital platforms business. You will partner with Product, Commercial and Engineering teams across Europe, provide pragmatic legal guidance, and help structure deals while managing regulatory risk.

Ideal candidates are Dutch-qualified with 7+ years of experience in commercial or corporate law, fluent in Dutch and English, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international

Qualifications

• Dutch-qualified lawyer with 7+ years of experience in commercial or corporate law.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Fintech, payments, e-commerce, SaaS or digital platforms experience with payments regulation.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in Dutch and English.
• Proactive, independent with strong stakeholder management across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support to European business units on commercial contracts and corporate matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer, partner, vendor and technology agreements.
• Advise product, commercial, engineering and operations teams on legal risk and go-to-market initiatives.
• Lead or support strategic initiatives including cross-border matters and regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with global legal, compliance and secretarial teams to ensure consistent Europe-wide support.
• Develop and improve legal templates, playbooks, and processes to enable growth.
