Job summary

Limagrain is seeking a senior lab employee to supervise colleagues and visiting students in rapeseed DH production and tissue culture work. You will report to the rapeseed DH team leader and collaboratively plan daily tasks, ensuring smooth operation and adjusting pace as needed.

You will maintain a positive team environment, assist staff when needed, and ensure fluency in English and Dutch to support daily activities and collaboration.

Qualifications

• MBO level with laboratory background requirement.
• Proactive work attitude and hands-on mentality.
• Ability to organize activities and sequencing for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise colleagues and visiting students in rapeseed DH production and tissue culture activities.
• Report to the rapeseed DH team leader and plan in consultation with them.
• Maintain an overview of operations and adjust work pace with the team leader.
• Foster a good working atmosphere and assist employees or students as needed.

Job description

Do you want to work at a botanical laboratory? This is one of the service departments that reports to the research support functions of the Limagrain Field Seeds division.

Main Goal

Contribute to support lab research programs.

As a senior lab employee, you will supervise colleagues and any (foreign) students in the daily activities for rapeseed DH production and some tissue culture activities.

You report to the rapeseed DHs team leader and draw up the planning in consultation with him.

You keep a good overview of whether everything is running smoothly and, in consultation with the team leader, adjust the pace of the work.

You ensure a good working atmosphere in the group and if the employees or students need help with something, they knock on your door and you help them in the best possible way.

What we expect of you

You have an MBO education (secundary level) with a laboratory background. You have a proactive work attitude and a hands‑on mentality. You can organize activities and activities well and place them in a logical order so that the various projects run smoothly.

You can use a computer and have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office tools. Good fluency in the English language and in Dutch is necessary for the position.
