Job summary

Almaviva Group is seeking an experienced Java backend specialist to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade systems. You will build scalable microservices with REST interfaces, implement OAuth security, and participate in CI/CD deployments within an Agile/Scrum team.

The role requires deep expertise in Java, Vert.X, Apache Camel, NiFi 2.0, and messaging technologies, along with a strong focus on secure coding, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in IT
• 9+ years Java backend development with REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD & BDD
• Experience in production-ready Java solutions using Vert.X
• Experience with NiFi 2.0 in production
• Experience with TensorFlow Java bindings
• Experience with OAuth in production environments
• >3 years in Agile/Scrum
• Strong knowledge of Apache Camel and Enterprise Integration patterns
• Strong SQL Server / T-SQL knowledge
• Solid OOP and SOLID principles

Responsibilities

• Develop backend Java systems and microservices with robust REST APIs

Job description

Contributing to the improvement of the development and build process

Designing and developing production grade, enterprise level systems that make extensive use of messaging and microservices.

Participating in the Java implementation of a micro-services solution, writing backend code in a reliable, fast, scalable, and secure way, satisfying requirements and service level agreements.

Writing OAUTH authentication mechanisms. Implementing validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests.

Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system. Setup CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker, is assumed.

Working comfortably within a team. Following Scrum procedures and disciplines. Estimating the work to be done upon request.

Writing technical documentation. Account for secure coding practices, as well as logging and auditing features.

Communicating in a clean, concise way, not only to peers but to upper layers when needed.

Hands on experience with Git following pull request procedure. Writing clean, secure and high-quality code.

REQUIREMENTS:

• More than 15 years in IT
• More than 9 years of experience in Java Backend Development using REST APIs, RDBMs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines and BDD
• Experience in more than two production-ready solutions written in Java with Vert.X
• Experience in more than two production-ready solutions using Apache NiFi 2.0
• Experience in at least one production-ready solutions using Tensorflow and Tesorflow Java bindings
• Experience in more than one production-ready projects with OAUTH standard.
• More than two years of experience in an international/multi-cultural environment
• More than three years of experience in an Agile/Scrum
• Sound knowledge of Apache Camel including Enterprise Integration patterns such Messaging Patterns involving popular messaging systems (ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ)
• Sound knowledge of Java and Experience with the following Java frameworks, Spring Boot 3, Vert.X
• Sound knowledge of the design and development of back-end components (REST APIs, integrations, micro-services)
• Sound knowledge on how to write unit test for Java.
• Good knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. AGILE)
• Good knowledge of programming on SQL Server databases with TSQL.
• Good knowledge of OOP paradigms and SOLID principles
• Good knowledge of OAUTH standard. application design.
• Capable to be part of an Agile Team implementing Scrum (team worker, easy going, good communication capabilities).
