Job summary

CGI Nederland is seeking a Senior Java & Cloud Consultant to lead microservice design and implement scalable banking solutions. You will collaborate with clients, drive modern ICT practices, and help teams adopt container-based architectures using Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team across Agile/DevOps environments, applying cutting-edge technologies to optimize costs and performance while ensuring security and compliance in Azure.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 17 and 21.
• Spring Boot 3.
• Database: SQL/NoSQL (Cosmos).
• Memory management: JVM configuration, profiling, GC, performance tuning.
• OAuth2, JWT.
• Spring Core, Spring Boot, Security, Transactions, Spring JPA, Spring AOP.
• Event-driven architecture (Kafka).
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests (Mockito, Cloud Contract Testing, Testcontainers, Rest Assured).
• Good and clear communication skills / Ability to work with a multicultural team.
• Experience with container-based architecture (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD).
• Azure Cloud (Key Vault, Storage, VMs, Networking).
• Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform).
• Knowledge of Security, Identity Management, RBAC, and Azure compliance.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and containerization (Docker).
• Experience implementing monitoring solutions for AKS clusters using Azure Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, planning, and implementation of microservice architecture across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with clients to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to provide scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Support the Banking division with modern ICT practices and best-in-class delivery.
