Job summary

Darwin Recruitment in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Senior IT Specialist to support and enhance a modern workplace environment. The role combines systems administration, end-user support, cloud technologies, security, and project delivery, maintaining business critical platforms and contributing to technology improvements across the organisation.

You will administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, manage user accounts and devices, implement IAM with SSO and MFA, and provide 1st/2nd

Qualifications

Relevant IT qualification or equivalent professional experience.
Several years of IT infrastructure or modern workplace experience.
Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Experience providing 1st and 2nd line technical support within a business environment.
Experience managing user accounts, devices, permissions, and access controls.
Strong understanding of identity and access management, including SSO and MFA.
Familiarity with information security best practices and ISO 27001.
Experience working with ticketing and service management systems.

Responsibilities

Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 technologies, including Defender, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Intune.
Manage and support Google Workspace administration.
Oversee user lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, permissions, and access controls.
Configure, deploy, and support endpoint devices and workplace technologies.
Maintain IAM processes, including SSO and MFA solutions.
Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved efficiently.
Monitor platform performance, service health, and security alerts, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Lead and contribute to IT projects, including system migrations, platform enhancements, and technology integrations.
Identify opportunities for automation, service improvement, and operational efficiencies.
Ensure IT services align with internal security policies and recognised compliance frameworks.
