Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in the Netherlands is seeking an OT Automation Engineer to support Process Automation systems and OT infrastructure. The role focuses on DeltaV, Aveva PI, and governance procedures to ensure compliant and efficient operations in a GMP environment.

You will collaborate with MSAT, MFG, QE, F&E, and global teams, and provide on-call support for digital plant systems. A strong background in DeltaV and regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering IT, Science field or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of DeltaV and batch processing operations required.
• Knowledge of Aveva Pi.
• Minimum 5+ year’s relevant industry experiences preferable GMP.
• Biologics/Cell Therapy experience is highly valued but not required.
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and how they relate to existing and new business systems and practices, primarily GxP.
• Understanding of engineering documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot DeltaV control system from the field element up through operator interfaces and databases.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as SME for Process Automation Systems (PAS), including DeltaV and Aveva PI, focusing on infrastructure and analytics deliverables.
• Align with Business requirements and deliver solutions for both PAS infrastructure and unit operations.
• Support strategic prioritization of PAS initiatives for Leiden CTF and manage the delivery of these priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, code, test, and validate automation solutions.
• Interface with enterprise PAS groups to align standards, philosophies, design approaches, and SOPs.
• Lead resolution efforts for critical PAS-related issues impacting site operations.
• Execute system changes ensuring optimal configuration and content structure.
• Ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement in workflows.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and GAMP requirements.
• Collaborate with MSAT, MFG, QE, F&E, and global teams to deliver and support OT and Automation systems.
• Provide rotational on-call support for digital plant systems in coordination with team members
