Overview
Our Defence client is looking for an experienced Senior IT Administrator to join a team of technical specialists based in the Hague. This is a contract role initially for 2 years. Due to the nature of the role, DV or NATO TOP Secret clearance is required. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite (5 days per week).
Required qualifications
- Active NATO Cosmic Top Secret Clearance (CTS) or equivalent national clearance that would qualify for CTS (e.g. DV)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology support with a specialty in desktops, servers, and networking
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and report status
- Familiar with TEMPEST testing and Security Lock down procedures for defence computer systems whether national or NATO
- Willingness to learn many different technologies as breadth of skills is important
- Capable of troubleshooting hardware and software issues; able to deduce problems
- Demonstration of performing configuration management at any specified level
- IPv4 troubleshooting and basic subnetting
- Demonstrate packet sniffing to troubleshoot network and application issues
- Demonstration of installing and building computer systems in the following operating systems: Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Red Hat Linux 5,6,7; Solaris 10/11; VMware ESXi, vCenter
- Coursework and/or certification in programming
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including Visio
- Understanding of CAT 5/6, HDMI, Fibre cabling
- Able to lift 50 pounds/22 kilograms, replace servers in racks, use hand tools to assemble hardware
- Security+CE or equivalent US DOD IAT Level II (or higher) certification, as per US DOD 8570.1-M
Desirable qualifications
- Experience working with Tactical Data Link messages (Link16 in both JREAP, SIMPLE formats)
- Experience working with Simulation Interoperability using HLA / DIS messages
- Experience using defence simulations with a focus in missile defence
- Experience with software maintenance and debugging
- Experience using Cisco switches and basic Layer 2 knowledge
- Experience using Group Policy to enforce security rules
- Experience executing DoD STIGs for operating systems (Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, Red Hat Linux 5,6,7; Solaris 10/11)
- Experience implementing the NIST Risk Management Framework and Continuous Monitoring Plans, or equivalent
- Scripting (Perl, Bash, GNUPlot, XML, Batch files, database queries)
- Database administration in MySQL, SQL, Oracle
- Administration in VMware vCenter, ESXi, Horizon
