APM Terminals, based in The Hague, seeks an Investment Manager to drive growth through major concession extensions, Tender processes, and portfolio strategy initiatives. You will engage with senior executives and strategic partners to shape value creation across a global portfolio.

You will collaborate across multinational teams, manage complex investments, and contribute to long‑term strategic planning for a leading port and terminal operator.

Formación

• Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy, M&A, corporate development, or business development roles.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for commercial, operational, and legal contexts.

About the role

Based at our headquarters in The Hague, the Investment Manager will join the APM Terminals Investment team, reporting to the Head of Investments, Project Management. The team is responsible for driving growth, managing large and complex concession extension efforts, and supporting portfolio strategy initiatives.

You will contribute to the development and execution of growth opportunities globally, including terminal expansion projects, public and private tenders, concession negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, divestments, and greenfield and brownfield terminal developments. In addition, you will support strategic initiatives across the existing portfolio and help shape solutions that create long-term value for APM Terminals and its stakeholders.

Success in this role requires strong commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity, relationship-building capability, and the confidence to engage with senior executives, government authorities, and strategic partners. You will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively across diverse, multinational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of investment case development, deal structuring, due diligence, valuation, and financial modelling.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills in an international environment.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally as required.
