Job summary

Planet is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer with a focus on Identity and Access Management to join the Corporate Engineering team. The role is hybrid and requires work from our Haarlem, Berlin, or Ljubljana offices three days per week.

You will maintain internal identity platforms (Okta/Auth0/Keycloak), automate JML workflows from HRIS, and build tooling in Python to improve reliability and security across the enterprise IAM ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure development or operations focusing on IAM.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Experience with large web apps and complex identity architectures (Okta/Auth0/Keycloak).
• Experience integrating HRIS with identity directories and handling edge cases (re-hires, cross-border transfers).
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM.
• Familiarity with PKI and legacy directories like Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Operate Planet’s internal IT systems, architecting and maintaining identity providers (Okta, Auth0, Keycloak).
• Automate Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) workflows from HRIS (HiBob or similar).
• Develop tooling in Python/Go to automate tasks and provisioning connectors.
• Reduce operational toil through automation and self-healing systems.
• Manage configurations as code using Terraform/Ansible/SaltStack.
• Participate in on-call rotation and improve incident response, RCA, and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with Security and IT to embed reliability, security, and GDPR/Zero Trust practices.
