Job summary

Heerema Marine Contractors seeks a Senior HR Services Specialist to combine hands-on HR expertise with a continuous improvement mindset. You support employees and managers on a broad range of HR topics and help make HR services more efficient and self-service oriented.

You will analyse recurring questions, identify bottlenecks and translate insights into practical improvements, collaborating with HR Business Partners, Centers of Expertise and HRIS to enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR Services or a similar HR environment.
• Affinity with HR systems, digitalization, self-service and AI.
• Proactive, customer-focused and analytical mindset.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a subject matter expert for HR processes and employee lifecycle administration.
• Identifying trends, recurring questions and opportunities for improvement.
• Improving self-service content, FAQs and knowledge articles.
• Contributing to automation and AI-enabled improvements within HR Services.
• Coaching and supporting colleagues through onboarding and ongoing development.

Senior HR Services Specialist

As Senior HR Services Specialist you are the go-to expert for employees and managers, while continuously improving processes, knowledge and self-service solutions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex HR questions, but is even more motivated to prevent them from happening in the future.

Your role in the story

As Senior HR Services Specialist, you combine hands‑on HR expertise with a continuous improvement mindset.

You support employees and managers on a wide range of HR topics, handle complex cases and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience. By analysing recurring questions and process bottlenecks, you help make HR services more efficient, consistent and future‑proof. Working closely with HR Business Partners, Centers of Expertise and HRIS, you translate operational insights into practical improvements that make everyone's work easier.

What you will be working on

You can work independently, communicate clearly and turn complex HR topics into practical solutions that employees and managers can easily understand and apply.

To be successful in this role, you bring

• HBO or university level education.
• 4+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR Services or a similar HR environment.
• A proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Affinity with HR systems, digitalization, self-service and AI.
• A proactive, customer-focused and analytical mindset.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
