Job summary

Xelvin in Eindhoven is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to own the demand planning process and drive S&OP across a high-tech manufacturing organisation. You’ll translate demand into actionable insights and balance customer requirements with production capacity and inventory.

You will collaborate with Production, Procurement, Sales and Logistics to align demand with supply and continuously improve forecasting accuracy and planning quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain planning or forecasting within a production environment.
• Strong experience with demand forecasting and forecast ownership.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel and BI tools.
• Experience with S&OP or similar cross-functional planning processes.
• Experience with SAP is a strong advantage.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decisions.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the demand planning and forecasting process for the business line.
• Develop reliable demand forecasts based on historical data, customer input, market trends and business insights.
• Analyse demand patterns, deviations and volatility and translate findings into actionable plans.
• Prepare and challenge assumptions during monthly and quarterly S&OP meetings.
• Work with Production, Procurement, Sales, Project Management and Logistics to align demand with supply and production capabilities.
• Maintain direct contact with customers to understand and align demand expectations.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and potential supply chain issues and take proactive action.
• Perform data and scenario analyses to support business decisions.
• Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service level, inventory levels and delivery reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within demand planning and S&OP processes.
• Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities to improve planning quality and supply chain performance.
