Job summary

Wypoon Technologies BV is seeking an experienced Data Scientist focused on Generative AI to join a pioneering AI team within a leading Dutch financial services organization. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain GenAI solutions that drive business value and scale AI across domains.

Collaborating with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders, you will implement LLMOps/MLOps, build reusable GenAI components, and contribute to best practices and automation.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong Python programming skills, with the ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code.
• Solid understanding of NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI, preferably with hands-on experience building GenAI applications.
• Proven experience developing, evaluating, deploying, and monitoring AI/ML models in production environments.
• Experience with LLMOps, MLOps, DevOps, and cloud-based AI solutions.
• Strong engineering skills, including Git, CI/CD, API development and integration, containerization, and ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or similar environments.
• Familiarity with relational and vector databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring colleagues, or sharing engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, production-ready Generative AI solutions.
• Build AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, and modern GenAI technologies.
• Develop reusable GenAI components and solutions that can be applied across multiple business domains.
• Take ownership of the full AI development lifecycle, from identifying business needs to production deployment and monitoring.
• Implement LLMOps/MLOps practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business challenges into practical AI solutions.
• Contribute to automation, technical best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team.
