Job summary

Monks is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to own features across the stack, from database to UI, in a fast-paced client environment. You will work across React/Next.js and Node/TypeScript, build and consume APIs, and review AI-generated code for quality.

Collaboration with product, design, and other engineers is essential to ship end to end. You should have 5+ years of experience, strong TypeScript skills, solid API/data modeling, AWS experience, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping full-stack web applications.
• Strong TypeScript: React and Next.js on the front end, Node on the back end.
• Solid API design and data modeling.
• Experience building on AWS.
• Good testing habits and an eye for maintainable code.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across the frontend (React / Next.js) and backend (Node / TypeScript).
• Build and consume APIs, and model the data behind them.
• Review code, including AI-generated code, for quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to ship end to end.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Contribute to the team's standards, tooling, and practices.
