Job summary

Monks Technology Services, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python + React) to join a new product team. You will own features across the database, backend, and UI, collaborating with product managers and senior engineers to shape architecture and realize the product vision.

You will build APIs in Python and interfaces in React, and drive architecture decisions, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience building complex, large-scale applications.
• 14+ years preferred.
• 3+ years of Python experience building production-grade APIs and backend services.
• 3+ years of React experience with modern frameworks and testing tools.
• Demonstrated ability to build and own full-stack features from database design through frontend implementation.
• Strong testing mindset across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Professional Node.js experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Product Managers to define and refine the architecture of a new product.
• Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of features from concept through production.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
• Translate business needs and product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Identify technical challenges proactively and drive practical solutions with minimal oversight.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, engineering standards, and development best practices.
• Adapt to changing priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer (Python + React), you’ll be a foundational member of a new product team, building high-quality software from the ground up. You’ll own complex features across the database, backend, and user interface while collaborating with product managers and senior engineers to shape architecture and bring the product vision to life.

About You

Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience building complex, large-scale applications; 14+ years preferred

• 3+ years of professional Python experience building production-grade APIs and backend services

• 3+ years of professional React experience, including strong knowledge of modern frameworks, state management, UI libraries, and testing tools

• Demonstrated ability to build and own full-stack features from database design through frontend implementation

• Strong commitment to comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

• Proactive, self-directed, and solutions-oriented approach with a strong “gets-it-done” mindset

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and solve complex problems independently

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to diverse audiences

• Experience leading or co-leading system architecture decisions preferred

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB preferred

• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins preferred

• Professional Node.js experience preferred
