Job summary

TRACT is building a sustainable, data-driven platform for the food and agriculture sector from Amsterdam. You will shape the insights platform with spec-driven development, owning the spec and the commit.

Expect focus on requirements, system design, acceptance criteria, and peer review rather than boilerplate coding. You’ll work across the stack (Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, React with TypeScript) with trunk-based development and feature flags, stepping into Lead Engineer on large

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industry with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Proficient in Python and React with TypeScript; comfortable with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.
• Rigorous reviewer who reads the whole diff and asks what should be removed.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy and monitor software end-to-end.
• Lead RFCs or tech specs and align the team with Product and Design.
• Collaborate across the stack: Python/FastAPI/PostgreSQL/React and TypeScript.
