Job summary

Soda is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own features end-to-end across the stack: Java backend services and the TypeScript/Angular frontend powering Soda Cloud. You’ll work with PMs, designers, and customers to shape design, ship from database to UI, and contribute to AI-driven agentic workflows.

You’ll collaborate across teams, own multi-tenant SaaS components, and continuously improve performance and testing coverage, all in a fast-growing data quality platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building software at a product company
• Strong Java: REST APIs, database interactions, async processing
• TypeScript and Angular frontend framework (Angular preferred)
• Frontend fundamentals: complex UIs, component architecture, state management
• Solid SQL in backend context: MySQL and ClickHouse
• Testing as a habit: unit, integration, e2e (Cypress/Playwright)
• Architectural judgment: API design from consumer perspective
• DevOps fluency: containers, CI/CD, IaC, Linux
• Agentic engineering: AI coding agents in production code
• Independence: distributed async team across 12+ countries
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Build features end-to-end: backend APIs, database changes, frontend UI, and ship to production
• Design and implement backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
• Work with relational databases (MySQL, ClickHouse): schema design and optimization
• Build frontend features that are clean, fast, and user-friendly
• Optimize performance across the stack and write tests at all layers
• Build agentic features: LLM-powered workflows to help users
• Improve agentic development: agent instructions, skills, test feedback loops
• Collaborate with product, design, and customers to decide what to build
