Job summary

Everbridge is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Public Warning Engineering Team. This fully remote role is based in the Netherlands, with a weekly office visit requested.

You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java/Spring Boot and Angular, contributing to a highly available, disaster-resilient platform used by governments and telecoms to deliver life-saving alerts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
• 5+ years of frontend development with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience designing distributed microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with containerized environments and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB).
• Fluent Dutch and English; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Build intuitive user interfaces with Angular and modern web tech.
• Contribute to architecture for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Work in an Agile Scrum team from concept to production.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and developers to refine requirements.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Introduce new technologies and best practices to advance the platform.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Support and enhance existing products and modernization roadmap.
• Create technical documentation to enable collaboration.
