Job summary

Open Bank, S.A., Branche Nederland is seeking a Financial Accountant (GL) to ensure accurate general ledger activity and balance sheet reconciliations, with a focus on supporting the Belgium branch. You will manage month-end close, VAT/CIT filings, and assist with audits while driving continuous improvement across entities.

The role requires 5+ years in financial accounting, IFRS knowledge, and strong Excel skills. Dutch is preferred; English is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in a similar financial accounting role
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Dutch preferred; English essential for internal/external communication

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end close, internal/external audits, and tax reporting/compliance
• Coordinate Belgian VAT and Corporate Income Tax filings and reporting to Head Office
• Provide financial data to Head Office in line with IFRS and group reporting requirements
• Identify process improvements and drive standardized ways of working across entities
