Our client is a semiconductor scale-up bringing a differentiated Analog Front End (AFE) product to market. We are looking for a (Senior) Field Application Engineer who will be a member of the sales & marketing team, contributing deep technical expertise to customer engagements and playing a key role in winning the AFE socket in customer designs.
You will be a core member of the sales team, responsible for the technical aspects of customer engagements and for supporting customers throughout the entire design-in lifecycle, from early evaluation to production.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a startup environment and takes responsibility for moving opportunities forward.
Core Responsibilities
- Work as part of the sales team and support customer engagements led by sales by owning the technical aspects of the interaction
- Support customers through the full design-in lifecycle of the AFE, from early evaluation and proof-of-concept to production
- Review customer schematics and layouts and provide clear, actionable design recommendations
- Continuously assess and articulate the technical value of our AFE to customers by benchmarking competitive solutions and actively exploring market/customer’s pain points
- Internal Contribution
- Provide structured customer feedback to support product refinement and roadmap discussions
- Create and write application notes, reference designs, and support technical documentation
- Help define best practices for field application engineering as the company grows
- Help build a mature and independent field application engineering group as the company grows.
- Operate in a direct-customer model in the initial phase; distributor enablement will be introduced gradually
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 7+ years of professional experience after graduation
- Proven hands-on hardware design experience at board or system level, with solid experience in analog and mixed-signal circuits and systems.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly in customer-facing settings
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
- Demonstrated proactiveness, evidenced by concrete examples of identifying and advancing design opportunities, preparing technical viewpoints ahead of customer engagements, and driving topics to closure without waiting for explicit direction
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with medical product design or medical-grade system requirements (e.g. safety, reliability, regulatory constraints)
