Job summary

Cboe Clear Europe is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join the Delivery Assurance team to advance testing across cash equities, derivatives and SFT services. You will take over work from contract staff and drive test activity with Risk Ops and Risk Margin teams.

You will lead test planning, develop and execute test cases, enhance our Java/Cucumber/Gherkin framework, and ensure high quality releases through rigorous Agile/DevOps practices and close collaboration with risk teams.

Qualifications

• Experience testing Risk systems and controls.
• Ability to act as SME for production support.
• Hands-on testing on Linux servers.
• Understanding margining and market data from testing perspective.
• Proven lead experience across multiple projects.
• Strong Java/Cucumber/Gherkin test framework experience.
• Familiar with Agile/DevOps practices and Jira/Zephyr.

Job Description

The Delivery Assurance department within Cboe Clear is looking to enhance the team with permanent member of staff who can take testing and assurance activities forward with Cboe Clear. The Senior QA engineer is expected to work on multiple projects within cash equities, derivatives and SFT service, take over the work from existing contract staff and build further on what has been already in place. The role involves working closely with Risk Ops and Risk Margin teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Previous experience of testing Risk systems
• Act as a SME for production support
• Experience of working directly on servers Linux
• Understanding of Margining (VM, IM, Collateral) and market data from testing perspective
• Previous demonstrable lead experience of working in multiple projects
• Hands on experience to enhance test framework built in java/cucumber/gherkin
• Schedule and run different testing phases
• Prepare a test plan for different phases within programming
• Liaise with Risk teams to ensure appropriate test coverage
• Produce test cases for each test phase within project
• Previous demonstrable agile / DevOps experience is a must
• Use Jira / Zephyr for test and defect management
• Ensure root cause of failure is appropriately captured for further improvements
• Daily status reporting on the test progress
• Produce End of Test Report at the end of the programme
• Strong communication skills are essential & should be a team player
• Should be able to conduct hands on testing
• Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release.

Tools & technology:

• JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Unix, Oracle, Test Automation experience (developer in test is preferable)
• Java, Cucumber/Gherkin, SQL
• Domain: Capital Markets Equities and Equity Derivatives (F&O)
• Previous Clearing experience is a huge advantage
• Technology: Java, Oracle, FIX, MQ, IBM I series, SQL, SWIFT
