Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Senior AI Systems & Applications Engineer to turn advanced AI into reliable, secure software for engineers. You will bridge software architecture, AI and product delivery to ensure successful application deployment.

You will own the app layer connecting AI models, data and tools, building AI-enabled workflows and secure model orchestration for production use. Strong Python/JS/Java/C++ skills and MLOps experience are required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a technical field and 6+ years delivering AI/ML software products.
• Experience deploying AI/ML software in R&D or engineering contexts.

Senior Engineer Product Intelligence (Software & Systems)

We are looking for a Senior AI Systems & Applications Engineer to turn advanced AI into reliable, secure and scalable software applications to solve high value problems for engineers working in a highly controlled environment. You will bridge software architecture, applied AI and product delivery to support successful application delivery.

What you will do

You will own the application layer connecting AI models, internal data, domain tools and expert users, turning AI capabilities into software applications.

• Build and enhance AI-enabled workflow automation, and decision-support applications for technical users.
• Design and deploy workflows and secure model orchestration.
• Ground AI systems in data schemas, constraints and feedback loops.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs (batched and events processing), data pipelines, and deployment patterns for production AI applications.
• Apply secure software patterns for IP-sensitive environments, including controlled access, auditability, data minimization and policy-aware retrieval.

What we are looking for

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Software engineering, Data Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software products in R&D & engineering or relevant domains.
• Have successfully built adopted applications using SoTA agent orchestration and harness engineering frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, and other relevant languages.
• Experienced in local AI inference & quantization architecture.
• Strong software engineering capability across front end and backend services pipelines for AI agent applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLM systems (open and closed models), agentic AI tools and methods – harness engineering.
• Experienced with production hybrid AI infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization and MLOps (Mflow, Kubeflow).
• Working knowledge of AI engineering security frameworks and applications.
