Job summary

Destinus seeks an Energetics Systems Integration Lead to own the integration of missile subsystems (airframe, propulsion, guidance, warhead, fuze) and payloads for unmanned aerial platforms, from assembly through testing and acceptance.

You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, safety, manufacturing, and quality, manage risks, and ensure safety and regulatory requirements are met while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• At least 10 years in missile/UAS/defense systems integration and testing in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with warhead and fuze integration and safety protocols.
• Experience integrating defense systems/payloads onto unmanned aerial platforms.
• Extensive safe handling, storage, transportation, and integration of explosives and energetic materials.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-2105, or regional safety equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical integration of missile subsystems (airframe, propulsion, guidance, warhead, fuze).
• Oversee warhead/ fuze integration with design, safety, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Lead payload integration onto unmanned aerial systems and ensure cross-domain interfaces work.
• Develop and maintain integration test plans, procedures, and verification activities.
• Ensure explosive handling and ESSOPs compliance across activities.
• Act as technical point of contact for reviews, safety boards, and milestones.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation and closure for integration issues and safety hazards.
• Support PDR/CDR readiness reviews with clear technical assessments of maturity and risks.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for integration issues and anomalies.
