Delta Energy Systems in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Accountant – EMEA VAT Specialist to lead VAT compliance, reporting, and advisory across multiple EMEA jurisdictions. The role interfaces with Finance, Tax, and business teams to drive standardization and optimize cross-border VAT processes.

You will support audits and provide VAT guidance on complex models while leveraging SAP experience and IFRS knowledge to ensure accurate statutory reporting and minimized VAT risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field.
• 5–8+ years of VAT/indirect tax experience in multinational environments.
• Strong exposure to EU VAT Directive and local rules across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Experience with statutory reporting and audit environments.
• Solid IFRS and local GAAP knowledge; ERP systems familiarity (SAP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• VAT compliance, filing, and advisory across multiple EMEA countries.
• Manage ESL, Intrastat, VAT payments, and VAT reporting accuracy.
• Perform VAT GL reconciliations and review VAT postings in ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Provide VAT guidance on cross-border transactions and complex models.
• Interface with tax authorities during audits and coordinate with external advisors.
• Drive standardization and automation of VAT processes and controls.
