Job summary

Akkodis in Eindhoven is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and test firmware for advanced embedded systems using C++ and RTOS in a high-tech R&D environment. You will collaborate with architects, hardware and software engineers in an Agile team, optimize performance, ensure code quality, and contribute to continuous improvement and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/EE or related field.
• Min. 5+ years embedded software development.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and Clean Code principles.
• Experience with microcontrollers and real-time constraints (RTOS or bare-metal).
• Familiarity with embedded Linux is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test firmware according to specifications and architecture.
• Produce maintainable, reusable code aligned with architectural vision.
• Create solutions that are simple, expandable, and meet performance/size constraints.
• Research datasheets and specs to inform architectural decisions.
• Support board bring-up and hardware/software collaboration.
