Job summary

Databricks seeks a Solutions Architect (EDW Migrations) to lead migrations to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform across EMEA. You will collaborate with GTM leadership, product and account teams to design adoption strategies, develop technical guides, and present migration plans to customers.

You will mentor the EMEA SA community, build scalable processes, and serve as a primary escalation point for complex migrations, while feeding product feedback to engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or architect roles influencing executives and driving migration strategy.
• Experience with legacy EDW systems and modern data platforms to support migrations.
• Hands-on with Lakehouse architectures and data processing tools like Apache Spark, Python and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cloud architecture experience across major providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional EDW migration strategy with GTM leadership and account teams.
• Develop scalable migration processes and detailed technical guides for field teams and partners.
• Build and maintain assessment tooling to enable automated migrations.
• Act as tier-3 escalation point for complex migrations in must-win accounts across EMEA.
• Mentor and scale the regional Solutions Architects and Specialist SAs.
• Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering to improve the platform.
