Job summary

Byondis, a Dutch biopharmaceutical company in Nijmegen, seeks a senior scientist for its Downstream Processing (DSP) department. You will design, execute and document experiments to purify and characterize biopharmaceutical proteins, including ADCs, and contribute to process development and transfers.

The role requires a PhD in Biotechnology/Biopharmaceutical Sciences or an MSc with at least five years’ independent experience, strong protein knowledge and bioinformatics affinity.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline, or MSc diploma with five years’ experience.
• Strong expertise in biopharmaceutical purification process development and data interpretation.
• Ability to troubleshoot non-routine experiments and support colleagues with technical questions.

Responsibilities

• Document experiments and data, write and review non-routine technical reports, and present results across departments.
• Collate and analyze data using appropriate software tools; link outcomes across complex studies, identify deviations, propose causes and solutions.
• Contribute to process development, transfers, troubleshooting and root cause investigations; ensure compliance with quality and EHS requirements.
