Job summary

Kite Pharma seeks a Senior Director of Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) for its Amsterdam cell therapy facility. The role leads the MSAT organization, guiding technology transfer, lifecycle management, and validation to ensure compliant, reliable commercial operations.

The candidate will set MSAT strategy, drive risk-based decisions, and partner across Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Site Leadership to advance performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS in Science or Engineering with biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience or BA with relevant experience
• Significant leadership experience in a commercial GMP environment
• Knowledge of cell therapy, biologics, or aseptic manufacturing is preferred

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the MSAT site strategy, operating plan, and budget.
• Lead a high-performing organization of managers and senior technical leaders.
• Oversee GMP operations, investigations, CAPAs, and validation activities.
• Sponsor technology transfer, lifecycle management, and PPQ readiness.
• Ensure data integrity, validated systems, and efficient manufacturing integration.
