Job summary

Eddy Grid is seeking a Senior DevOps Security Engineer to own the infrastructure end to end. You will secure AWS (ECS/EC2/S3) and lead migrations from PaaS to AWS, while building an ultra-reliable platform for trading energy assets.

The role combines security, automation, and leadership as the platform scales. Hybrid work is available with two office days in Delft and team meetups in Utrecht on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience designing and running production workloads on AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and ECS orchestration.
• A cybersecurity background with cloud networking, IAM, and secure practices.
• Experience leading a cloud migration from plan to production.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and incident management.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery in production.
• Clear communication with developers and non-technical colleagues in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive security across IAM, networking, secrets, backups, and DR.
• Lead compliance work for NIS2 and the Cbw.
• Own AWS infrastructure (ECS, EC2, S3) and build with Terraform.
• Plan migration of production workloads to AWS without downtime.
• Set up safe environments for AI agents and limited-right credentials.
• Own CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and Docker release process.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Help hire and grow the infrastructure team.
• Collaborate with developers across trading and integration software.
