Job summary

ITProposal seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer – Java & Angular to join an Agile Scrum team delivering cloud-based services. You will build and run Java-based services and Angular apps, working across front-end and back-end with a strong cloud focus.

The role emphasizes Spring Cloud, CI/CD, and a hands-on mindset to monitor, test, and optimize performance using Kibana, Grafana, JUnit, and Cypress in a hybrid work setting in Leeuwarden.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Java development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Angular experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Cucumber experience.
• Fluent Dutch spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based services and Angular applications in a cloud/service-oriented environment.
• Work across both front-end and back-end development.
• Develop cloud-ready applications using Spring Cloud.
• Monitor, profile, troubleshoot, and tune performance with Kibana and Grafana.
• Implement automated testing using JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress, or similar.
• Work with REST, SOAP, JPA/Hibernate, JMS, PostgreSQL, Spring MVC, and Spring-WS.
• Use DevOps/CI-CD tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Confluence.
• Support and guide external partners in connecting to provided services.
• Coordinate proactively with other teams across a complex IT landscape.
• Contribute to innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Take on broader T-shaped responsibilities including Ops, testing, and analysis.
