Flexport in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for Detection & Response to own end-to-end detections across endpoints, identity, SaaS, and cloud. You will write production-grade detection and automation code, and coordinate incident response with teams across time zones.

Bring 5–8 years in detection engineering, strong Python or Go, and hands-on experience with a modern SIEM. Flexport sponsors visas, offers equity, and a globally distributed team environment.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years of experience in detection engineering, incident response, or threat hunting.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar).
• Experience with a modern SIEM (Panther, Elastic, Splunk, or similar).
• Practical incident response experience: led or played a major role in real incidents.

Aufgaben

• Build and tune detections across endpoint, identity, SaaS, and cloud as production software.
• Track detection quality against MITRE ATT&CK, precision, and time-to-detect.
• Own EMEA-hours incident response: triage, contain, remediate, and write retrospectives.
• Build automation to reduce toil and collaborate with global teams.
