Job summary

Bitvavo is seeking a data-minded professional in Amsterdam to own causal inference and production ML across spend, pricing, product, and risk domains. You will turn business questions into measurable models, ship experiments, and ensure they stay reliable in production.

You will communicate uncertainty and decisions to stakeholders with strong ownership. The role emphasizes building with Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow and Looker, delivering models that influence real business outcomes

Qualifications

• Strong experience turning business questions into measurable models.
• Fluency in Python and SQL; production-grade data tooling experience.
• Track record of models deployed into production influencing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own problems end to end: frame the question with the stakeholder, build the model or experiment, ship it, and follow it into production.
• Work backwards from the decision: focus on decision cost and value, not merely data.
• Monitor, drift detection, retraining and accountability for live models.
• Communicate the results clearly to senior stakeholders, even when outcomes are not favorable.
• Mentor teammates and raise the standard for causal inference across projects.
