Job summary

Effectory B.V. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to translate complex data into actionable insights for global clients. You will build AI/ML solutions, explore data from multiple sources, and design models ranging from traditional ML to large language models.

You will join our Data & AI team, collaborate with Data/MLOps engineers, mentor colleagues, and help deploy insights into production while pursuing innovative techniques.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science).
• Strong Python skills for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with AI/ML tooling, model evaluation, and cloud data platforms.

Job description

As our Senior Data Scientist, you turn complex data into meaningful insights that help organizations understand and improve the working lives of their people. You'll use data, AI, and machine learning to make a real difference both within Effectory and for our clients across the globe.

Every day, you work to develop and apply data-founded additions to our products and services. You’ll explore and connect data from a multitude of sources and bring creativity into how we use data in innovative ways. You’ll design and evaluate AI models, from traditional machine learning to LLMs, ensuring that our clients gain deeper, more actionable insights from their feedback.

Integrating diverse techniques from predictive quantitative models to in-depth textual data analysis, you look beyond the basics and build sophisticated analyses that deliver deep insight for our customers. Effectory is growing and so is our approach to data. This role isn’t set in stone; you’ll have the freedom to shape it, experiment with new ideas, and actively contribute to our agile way of working.

About the team

You’ll be part of our newly formed Data & AI team, where we combine expertise in data, analytics, and technology to drive innovation across Effectory. You’ll work closely with Data/MLOps Engineers to deliver your insights into production, and support Data Science colleagues with your senior experience and mentoring capabilities. The team collaborates with other internal stakeholders to connect insights throughout the organization. Our Data & AI team provides shared services to various DevOps teams and runs its own experiments and model development projects. Together with our Product Team, you’ll turn AI innovation into real, impactful product features.

• Curious and analytical with a passion for transforming data into value
• Experienced Data Scientist (3+ years) with a Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Econometrics, Mathematics, or Data Science)
• Skilled in Python (or similar languages) for data analysis and modeling
• Comfortable with AI and ML tools, feature engineering, and model validation
• Knowledgeable in LLMs, prompt engineering, generative AI evaluation and multi-step flow development
• Experience with cloud data platforms, ML/AI tools, and visualization technologies, ideally within the Azure stack.
• Strong communicator who can translate technical insights into clear business impact
• Pragmatic, proactive, and collaborative, you enjoy working with others and mentoring teammates
