Job summary

Elsevier's Corporate Markets Life Sciences data science team is seeking a Manager Data Science to lead a team of data scientists across Amsterdam and London. You will set direction, manage delivery, and develop people to deliver production-ready, high-impact solutions for drug discovery, chemistry, and biomedical research.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain experts to apply ML, NLP, knowledge graphs, and GenAI, while upholding responsible AI, explainability, and measurable

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, ML, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of data science, ML, NLP, or applied AI experience.
• Experience leading technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data scientists across Life Sciences domains.
• Set strategy, priorities, and operating rhythm for the team.
• Deliver production-ready data science solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Promote responsible AI practices and reproducible research.
• Guide model evaluation, experimentation, and data quality efforts.
