Job summary

Valcon A/S in the Netherlands seeks a (Senior) Manager/Principal Data Science to lead data science teams and guide clients on their AI journey. You supervise data professionals, translate insights into valuable solutions, and ensure delivery value across engagements.

Two career paths exist: Principal for robust data solutions and architecture, or Manager focusing on client engagement and project delivery. You will mentor peers and help shape business opportunities with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, AI, Mathematics).
5+ years in design, development and implementation of data driven solutions.
Strong business acumen with ability to translate business objectives into data solutions.
Broad knowledge of data concepts and technology.

Responsibilities

Lead successful projects at client sites and supervise delivery teams.
Coordinate with stakeholders and advise on data solutions architecture.
Design solutions within client frameworks, guiding platform/technology choices.
Develop propositions and translate concepts into concrete, value-added services.
Drive business development through client workshops and opportunities.
Mentor and coach colleagues on client engagement and career progression.
