Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the technical direction of data pipelines and data warehouse layers. You will mentor engineers, lead cross-functional work, and deliver robust data solutions across evolving platforms while maintaining reliability and quality.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA and AI/ML leads to align requirements, accelerate development, and ensure scalable, maintainable architectures in a healthcare-focused product environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with orchestration frameworks.
• Proficient with dbt and data transformation.
• Experience with Databricks and large-scale pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills with enterprise RDBMS.
• Experience leading data platforms and cloud-based data warehouses.
• Lead teams and mentor engineers in agile settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of the data platform (pipelines + warehouse).
• Standardise patterns and improve maintainability and reliability.
• Manage release planning, validation strategies, risk management.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape delivery plans.
• Raise engineering standards through reviews and tests.
• Collaborate with QA, Application and AI/ML teams.
