Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Python development experience.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines with orchestration tools.
• Advanced SQL skills across MSSQL/PostgreSQL or similar.
• Experience building and governing cloud data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
• Strong leadership, mentorship and collaboration in agile teams.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of the data platform (pipelines + warehouse).
• Drive platform evolution by standardising patterns and reducing overhead.
• Ensure quality during change via release planning and validation strategies.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to refine requirements and priorities.
• Raise engineering standards through reviews and testing practices.
• Mentor and coach data engineers and manage work intake and prioritisation.
• Partner with AI/ML leads to integrate data components across the product ecosystem.
