Job summary

Rotterdam Innovation City is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our innovative team. This position will involve defining architecture standards and leading technical initiatives to modernize our data platform.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of data engineering experience, particularly in cloud-native solutions within AWS. You will mentor fellow engineers and guide the evolution of our platform, ensuring reliability and scalability.

You will also play a key role in the design and review processes, as well as supporting modern data engineering capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering and serving as a technical lead.
• Strong experience in building cloud-native data platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and production support for data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain architectural standards for the enterprise data platform.
• Lead the Technical Design Document process for complex initiatives.
• Conduct design reviews and production readiness across Data Engineering teams.
