Job summary

Neon is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect for Data Engineering to guide customers in designing and optimizing production-grade data workloads on the Databricks platform. You will translate complex big data challenges into scalable architectures using Spark and streaming technologies, while driving successful implementations and accelerating platform adoption.

You will lead technical design, PoCs, and workload sizing for strategic engagements, mentor peers, and build reusable assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data or software engineering with hands-on distributed processing
• AI-first approach with daily use of AI coding tools and LLMs
• Strong production coding skills in Python, SQL, and Scala/Java
• Experience in pre-sales or post-sales technical consulting with customers
• Experience with operational/HTAP architectures including transactional data layers

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design and PoCs for strategic engagements
• Architect scalable batch and streaming pipelines and data layers
• Build and operationalize data applications using Databricks Apps
• Leverage AI tools and workflows to prototype and deliver assets
• Mentor peers and deliver technical workshops to scale expertise
