Job summary

DycoTrade, based in Aalsmeer, Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer/BI Consultant to design and optimize data pipelines for its commodity-trading BI solutions. You will integrate Dynamics 365 data with a robust BI stack across Bronze, Curated, and Semantic layers, ensuring data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, SQL DB/DW, Data Lake/OneLake).
• Proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL), query optimization, and view creation.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & CRM Dataverse schema.
• Solid understanding of BI architecture: Bronze–Curated–Semantic layers.
• Proven data modeling skills (Kimball/Dimensional; Data Vault is a plus).
• Knowledge of data governance principles and tools (Microsoft Purview preferred).
• Experience with Power BI datasets and DAX.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade data pipelines and architectures for DycoTrade's BI solutions.
• Ingest, transform, govern, and deliver data from Dynamics 365 and related sources across Bronze, Curated, and Semantic layers.
• Develop robust data models for BI consumption and implement star/snowflake schemas.
• Collaborate with governance teams to maintain metadata, lineage, and data cataloging.
• Lead BI architecture discussions and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
