Job summary

Roamler BV in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own pipelines behind the outlet-data product suite and the data platform for the OOH Location Database and related products used by food & beverages brands across Europe.

You will work with data scientists on ML/NLP enrichment, embeddings, and AI pipelines, ensuring scalable, reliable data infrastructure and cost-aware AI integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with ownership of production data pipelines and/or web scraping and crawling systems.
• Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines on AWS bringing in data from external web sources into clean datasets.
• Experience with Airflow, Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into production systems and prompt design.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks or strong interest to learn them.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve data ingestion pipelines and the web scraping engine as production systems.
• Design and build AI agent based extraction workflows.
• Build evaluation frameworks and quality checks for AI-driven extraction.
• Utilize AWS services across traditional pipelines and AI components.
• Enhance automated testing, data validation, and monitoring for AI components.
• Collaborate with business and data stakeholders to align requirements.
• Drive engineering projects end to end and ensure successful outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative team environment through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
