Job summary

Google LLC is seeking an Operations Technician in the Netherlands to install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and server software across data center projects. The role includes leading small project teams, developing contingency plans, and performing routine data center tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have Linux experience, be able to lift heavy equipment, and work non-standard hours.

Qualifications

Experience assembling mechanical/electrical systems or repairing/troubleshooting technical equipment.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware and server hardware.
Experience with networking protocols.
Ability to lift 50 lb (23 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
Must be able to work non-standard hours, weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across teams.
Report issues and follow procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues.
Maintain data security and data erasure in accordance with Google standards.
Disassemble end-of-life equipment via part replacement within teams.
Repair and preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure.
