Senior Data Architect

Responsibilities
- Lead the design of data architectures and oversee implementation within multidisciplinary teams.
- Establish architecture standards and ensure scalable solutions that meet current and future business needs in complex environments.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends such as data mesh, data fabric and real‑time streaming, acting as a thought leader inside and outside BearingPoint.
- Mentor and coach teams on architecture excellence, facilitate architecture review boards, and develop innovative solutions for complex data challenges.
- Support business development by shaping data transformation roadmaps, evaluating technology stacks, and designing solution architectures that differentiate our proposals.
Qualifications
- Relevant master or science degree with professional certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and data management (e.g., CDMP, DAMA‑DMBOK).
- 6‑10 years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture or enterprise architecture roles, preferably in a consultancy environment.
- Proven experience with architecture documentation, solution blueprints, roadmap development and designing enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses and cloud‑native solutions on Azure or AWS.
- Deep knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), dimensional modeling and data vault methodologies.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, master data management strategies and modern data architecture patterns (data mesh, data fabric, lakehouse, real‑time streaming).
- Awareness of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, data security, lineage and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch and English.
