Job summary

Bennet & Boss B.V. is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project costs across complex engineering initiatives, ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting for strong financial performance.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and finance to provide actionable cost insights, challenge assumptions, and drive cost-effective execution, with EPC/Offshore experience favored.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of cost engineering, cost control, or project controls experience.
• Experience in engineering, construction, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong cost estimation, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Knowledge of project controls methodologies.
• Experience in multidisciplinary environments (EPC/Offshore preferred).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with cost control tools and reporting systems.
• Professional certifications (AACE, PMP, CCE) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts in line with project scope and execution plans.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Analyse cost variances, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.
• Consolidate and maintain accurate cost reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to support decision-making.
• Challenge project assumptions and provide insights to ensure cost-effective project execution.
• Support change management processes, including cost impact assessments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost control processes and tools.
