Job summary

General Atlantic is seeking to expand its Finance team with a newly created role in Amsterdam. The Finance Director will be a key member of the global finance organization, collaborating with capital raising, investment, and operations teams to support growth across Europe and beyond.

The successful candidate will own financial statements, balance sheet management, and regulatory filings, while building a robust control environment in a US-regulated context.

Qualifications

• Qualified chartered accountant with Amsterdam market awareness.
• Finance professional with private equity experience.
• Strong knowledge of European regulatory reporting.
• Proficient in IFRS and GAAP, with US GAAP knowledge an advantage.
• Experience with Workday Finance and data tooling (PowerQuery/Alteryx) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the preparation and review of consolidated and standalone financial statements.
• Maintain books of accounts with robust GL controls.
• Drive month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory filings across Europe.
• Coordinate statutory audits and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for reporting and process improvements.
